We are committed to a truly collegiate, genuinely flexible environment where every single person is respected for the contribution they make and the commitment they bring.
Joe Glavina - Legal Director, Employment
One of the aspects I like about working in Addleshaw Goddard is the firm's commitment to a culture where every single person has an opinion that is respected and an individual approach to their work that is highly valued. Everyone is made to feel that they are a valued part of the team, irrespective of whether they are a fee earner, partner or from one of our professional support directorates.
I joined the firm from the College of Law at a time when I was combining teaching with running an employment practice in York. I came into a new role as Professional Support Lawyer but was given the freedom to run cases too. Now I am a Legal Director in the Employment Group with a much wider remit with new opportunities. It is a new role which provides a clear career development path for senior fee earners and other professionally qualified members of staff like me. Responsibilities of a Legal Director can include leading the firm's work in a specific legal practice area, taking on a key supervisory/leadership role, as well as managing the firm's relationship with key clients. But whatever role anyone takes they know that they have a key part to play in the firm's success.
