Post Project Reviews – Verbatim Comments
Business Focused
The advice they gave was prompt, commercially based and in layman’s terms so it was easily understandable.
The nature of our business is complex and to have lawyers who understand the situation and are able to 'sort the wood from the trees' takes quite a lot. I have worked with Addleshaw on a number of deals and every time they have come through extremely well.
They provide commercially appropriate advice, they are very pragmatic in their approach as well (focusing on the points where we were strong or weak).
Team Players
A perfect balance between partner and non-partner time regarding being cost effective. I always felt that the partner on the case was fully aware of what was happening at all times.
They are very approachable, and friendly, and helpful.
There is good partner involvement, ably supported by some very competent and suitably experienced associates.
Determined to Succeed
This particular project would not have been completed at all without the specific actions of Addleshaw Goddard. It would have collapsed.
It was a very difficult transaction for all parties and I think Addleshaw Goddard were both tenacious and professional in their approach to these difficulties.
A nice team of people with a 'get the job done' mentality.
Open & Honest
They have no airs and graces, they just get on with the job and deliver a professional service.
The whole team is very approachable, willing to help and able to explain things very easily to the understanding of everyone.
A very down-to-earth and practical firm that is easy to deal with.
Dynamic
A very practical and pragmatic approach to helping me understand where legal advice would actually produce something different than if I had not got it.
This deal was bigger, more complex and had a few quirks in it, the hurdles that had to be overcome were more significant than normal. At one point the deal was going to be off but they helped us rescue it.
Most of the Corporate Lawyers that I have worked with spend most of their time telling you what cannot be done or balancing risks and opportunities and handing it back to you on a plate. What Addleshaw Goddard did was make things happen. They recommended courses of action and then followed them through and they helped make the deal happen.
